This site is about a single photographic image, a self-portrait, taken every day for 365 days (if that's possible). Conceived mostly as a personal project just for fun with a few goals in mind. One, to capture the otherwise unnoticed and subtle changes of one's self on a daily basis and two, to actually be forced to pick up a camera and think about photography everyday, if for only a few minutes.

The 50mm fixed length camera lens is commonly referred to as the "50 Prime". Most cameras come bundled with this lens out of the box and every student of photography begins with this one lens. While not every picture on this site is taken at 50mm, the name 50prime represents the simplistic approach to the work and the continuity and fundamentals of the single image concept.
